Astrology of the Simple View (Astrology of the Pre-Zodiacal Era)
Submitted by Natasa on 8 July, 2010 - 00:32.Long before the emergence of the solar zodiac, during the 2nd millennium BC a Babylonian magician-priest was interpreting heavenly omens daily, based only upon the impression the heavenly phenomena left on him. Not bound by an imperative of any kind of mathematical or astronomical calculations, he could draw his conclusions based upon the feeling stirred up in him after he had observed the sky. The only thing he wrote down were the phenomena of the colours surrounding the discs of the Sun, Moon and the five planets in the moment of their heliacal stations.
How to cast Judgement in Horary Questions by the relationship between the Lord of the Hour and the Radical Ascendant
Submitted by ciuboda on 13 March, 2010 - 10:20."The tradition of planetary hours stems from the ancient division of day and night, each into 12 equal portions of time. The planets then rule these portions, called hours, in a regular and unbroken order (SA, JU, MA, SU, VE, ME, MO). The cycle continues from one day to the next so that every seven days a major revolution is completed and the order of rulerships belonging to each day is fixed.
The Planetary Hours in Renaissance Horary and Electional Astrology
Submitted by ciuboda on 13 March, 2010 - 10:17."Generally there are two methods that are used to determine significators in traditional horary and electional questions. The primary method is to look to the house rulers that relate to the question at hand. This method provides an incredible amount of detailed information because of the complexity presented by the interaction of the seven planets and the twelve houses. The twelve houses can signify all possible relationships, e.g. husband-wife, owner-personal property, and even complex relationships among various people and things, e.g.
Time and Location Which are Relevant for Constructing Horary Chart
Submitted by ciuboda on 2 February, 2010 - 10:41."How did astrologers calculate the time, that is, the ascendants degree in ancient times, when there were no mechanisms? They used an astrolabe. It came from Greek meaning “an instrument for catching stars”. In accordance with this, any instrument used for observing stellar positions or latitudes could be called like that."
Early Horary Astrology Rules for Love Questions and Contracting a Marriage
Submitted by ciuboda on 2 February, 2010 - 10:38."What differs the first katarche methods from the later horary methods, at first sight, is the lack of mundane derivations and mundane locations of a querent as well as his separation from the subject of a question (for more information about katarche you can read the article "Notion and history of Horary Astrology"). A chart always refers to a thing in a question, without the significance of houses and their derivations according to the nature of things."
Masha'allah's Method in Short
Submitted by ciuboda on 2 February, 2010 - 10:36."In this article we will investigate the method handed down to us by Mâshâ’allâh with regards to horary judgment. As all of the later astrologers – famous or not – more or less follow his instructions, it is very interesting to read Mâshâ’allâh’s own text, especially as he illustrates them with quite a lot of intriguing examples. If any book deserves the prefix ‘The Bible of…’ it is this text ‘On Reception’ with its sparkling clarity and instructive and effective horary method.

Chihuahua Saves Dwarf in Welsh Woods
Submitted by sterndeuter on 28 December, 2009 - 14:41.The chart is set for the approximate time Mrs. Burkitt got lost in the woods in Snowdonia. Cornell tells us that a typical indication of dwarfism can be: “… if the Lord of the Ascendant and the Moon in the last degree of a sign”. If we consider that the Moon is just on the cusp, the chart, describing Mrs. Burkitt, seems to be radical. If we turn our interest to the little Chihuahua, we look at the Lord of the 6th house, Jupiter. He is in very good shape, being direct, fast moving and oriental.
